- 1 week before. Sticking to a very strict and healthy diet 1 week before your health exam is very important. Your test results could be greatly altered just by something you have eaten in the last week. You want to do everything to get the best results. Blood pressure and cholesterol levels can change greatly in a number of hours and days, for example. Getting regular and uninterrupted sleep is very important.
- 3 days before. Now you are getting very close to your test. It is time to avoid any alcohol and consume a lot of water. It takes 72 hours for your liver to process any alcohol in your body. Alcohol or recent consumption of it can greatly influence results.
- 1 day before. In the last day before your exam, it is time to really rest your body. You want to make sure you are emotionally calm as well. All stimulants, even caffeine is to be avoided. Even having a day off work to relax and enjoy yourself, might be beneficial. Our mood actually results in substantial changes in our body. Avoid strenuous exercise. Large amounts of water should be consumed. Note, there may be some requirements in relation to eating before your test at this point.
- Day of the exam. You will probably be feeling confident if you have put in the preparation. Feeling good is the goal. Drink more water, and relax as you approach your test.
